Pia Wertheimer and Tobias Müller – two journalists who live and breathe sports themselves – conducted an energy bar test in which readers judged a selection of different bars according to function and tolerability and personal preference. I provided them my expertise in sports nutrition and food science.
I always find such tests interesting, because the readers› grading shows me what is effectively bought and eaten. That’s what it’s all about: what takes place in the everyday life of athletes and thus, what do I encounter in the everyday life of my clients. Nutrition can never be considered only functionally – food has a decisive emotional and social effect and only if it is possible to reconcile all three individually, concepts can work sustainably.
